Just had one here in Oakland. I was drying my slings from yesterdays snow run in the backyard, in the SUN. Wife comes in and asks, "were you trying to dry out your slings/". Yes, I said. Well, she says, "It's hailing out side right now." Son of a.... Forgot I had left them out there. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

 

When shit breaks, would yall buy used or just say fuck it and get new?

Just saw. Depends on cost. If it wasn't ridiculously expensive, I'd go with new. Used works though.

 

Whats the price difference?

Since your rolling a 13+ yr old truck i would just go new. Aftermarket or oem.
But used that old seems like a waste unless its cheap as fuk

 

Is yours an electronic throttle or by wire.

 

TB.. 1k new. About 400 used

This is not a “high failure rate” item. Has it been tested and cycled for full analysis of failure? I’ve replaced a few throttlebodies in my day but only 1 Toyota TB. Make 100 percent sure it is actually in need of replacement.

And in my opinion, I would choose new, factory replacement.
