First time on this site. I just helped my son replace u joints and center bearing on his '09 Tacoma 4x4. All the rumbling has disappeared but he says there now seems to be a squeal from that center bearing upon initial acceleration. He put some grease inside the new bearing before pressing it on, and I wonder if that squeal is because the shaft is spinning in the bearing for just a moment until the bearing catches up. Any ideas to fix the problem?

Was it Chinese or OEM? It should squeal either way but I've seen it happen w/ the Chinese stuff.

Chinese. I told my son to give it a couple days to "settle in". He texted me this morning and said that the squeal is no more. Actually, he wasn't completely sure if it was the bearing and we were going to put it up on stands to verify, but apparently I was right for once. Odd to hear that it should happen, but all seems well now...and he saved hundreds by spending an afternoon in the garage. Thanks for the response, also.
