    Looks like a forward shifting AWD/Multi-Mode 4Runner transfer case. Didn't know they made forward shifting ones.

    It's showing the shifter as a "J" shift. Am I on the wrong track?

    looks like it a electronic shifted transfer case. No good you need a manually shifted transfer case. One like this
