When I'm accelerating as my revs pass 2900 there's always a slight high frequency whistle sound from under the hood. If I'm real careful I can replicate it at constant speed, but it seems to come and go as I play with the gas pedal gently. Press down very slightly as if to very gently accelerate I hear it right around 2900. Throttle lift and it goes away. It's quiet enough that I don't hear it over the radio and I really need to be driving next to a wall to hear it. Anybody else heard this?
