I'm taking my truck in for a TSB that is for the older ECUs. I would like some tips on how to make them flash my ecu to the latest version if they try to say there's nothing wrong.

Tell them the truth , it hunts for gears on the highway /is always shifting and when using cruise control the shifting is even worse. The other problem it was to fix is shift flares and delays from shifting when cold from P-D or P-R etc.
Edit - these are the things the TSB was to fix.

That's what I was going to do, but since it's a TSB and not a full on recall, they may try to say "that's normal" or "your truck isn't on the list of vin #s" I'm also curious if they would just flash the TCU or both the ECU and TCU

I told them what I said and they did it no questions asked , 2 times , for the first and the second release of the TSB. Tell them you have been putting up with it but now have read a TSB that fixes it and you want it done .
