I just recently came back from a long trip where I haven't nor anyone else has been able to drive my 2012 Tacoma for over a month. However, today I realized the horn no longer works. When the horn is pressed, absolutely nothing happens.

I have checked all the related horn fuses and everything is fine. The horn relay in the engine bay makes a clicking sound when the horn is pressed, therefore making me believe it works. I have also used a voltmeter to check the wires that plug into the two horns. Both wires produce a voltage when the horn is pressed leading me to believe the two horns themselves are shot and need to be replaced.

Is this thinking correct or am I missing as aspect of this problem. And if the horns do need to be replaced, where can I pick up some OEM horns? Appreciate any help.

If you have power and ground at the horn but the horn doesn’t make a sound you have a bad horn. Easy fix. If you don’t have power or ground then most likely it’s a broken spiral cable.

You say you have voltage at the horn connector then either the horns are defective or you have a bad ground connection through the mounting bracket. Clean that up and try it again.
