Hello from the land of sweltering heat, and worse humidity.

I'm the proud owner of a 2010 Tacoma 4X4 purchased 4 years ago. It's my second Taco(2WD). I've also owned a 2wd Tundra. I'll soon be in the market for another truck and was hoping to get some opinions. I'm not a big off-roader, but, I do like the ability to go where I need to, when I want to. For instance, I like to fish from my kayak, and some of the places I put in, I could likely get in, but, never get out without 4WD.

I've considered a 4X4 Tundra, but, just can't quite justify the cost of ownership, so, I'm back to looking at midsize trucks. I've read several reviews and comparisons and can't believe some of the reviews. Recently I read a comparison that placed the Taco near the bottom, below the Colorado, Canyon, and Ridgeline. What?! Anyway, I know coming to a Tacoma forum for opinions might not be the most unbiased way to get information, but, anyone who says the Ridgeline is a better truck, has zero credibility with me. The Colorado looks nice, but, it doesn't look all that great in the shop, where I figure it would be spending a good deal of its time.

Specifically, I'm considering the 2016 Tacoma 4X4 TRD OffRoad. Anyone care to give me the pro's and con's?

The Off-Road would be a good choice, I have a Sport and the suspension is stiff.
