I have a new custom made aluminum Popup Camper to serve all your overland or camping needs. It is made from 100% aluminum all the structural is 1/8" thick and the aluminum siding is .035. I made a Camper thread you can see all the progress from beginning to end. If you own a Prinsu Rack it was design to clear it. Serious buyers only- Cash only no trades - San Diego, CA pick up only - willing to ship at buyers expense. I own a fork lift so the the Popup will be installed at my shop, I will wire 3rd brake light.

-It will fit 05-15 5' bed only
    -Roughly 350 lbs
-Closed height 83" Open height 139" (will vary depending on suspension)
-Dual locking rear latch T handle keyed alike
-2x 15"x30" Mirage sliding/locking side windows with sliding and removable screen
-Roof will support 70lbs when popped up
-Roof vent by Ventline powered exhaust fan
-2x Dual Led interior lights with high/low on/off
-58x91" 3 Panel moveable sleeping platform. High pressure plywood with aluminum sheeting on top for easy cleaning when cooking inside.
-2" high density foam with removable fabric
-Main tent material 18oz Vinyl coated polyester waterproof/scratch resistance/ all stitching is sealed with waterproof HH66(Material is Fully removable Velcro and snaps)
-3 panel window on driver side Heavy duty screen material/ 20oz clear vinyl/ 18oz privacy vinyl with heavy duty Velcro.
-Roof is insulated with 1" thick Rmax and removable headliner. Aluminum sheeting with EPDM Superflex membrane fully sealed on top.
    -2x Lockable canopy latches
    -LED 3rd brake light
-All doors and seams are sealed with 3m weather stripping/ shell to bed seal Truck Capper Seal dual bulb seal
    -Exterior paint Sherwin Williams ATX

If you want a roof rack install, extra lights, or anything else I have no problem doing at buyers expense. Windows can't be installed on aluminum main back door or cab rear window.

There is no whistling/ or wind resistance noise even when driving 80mph. The camper was built with intended use to be used and abused outdoors, using heavy duty materials. Camper was tested in winds up to 40mph, I would not recommend Popping up the camper anything over that.

I think it will fit the 1st gen as well. If you get me measurements of the bottom exterior and how wide the sides are where it sits on the bed rails I can verify on my 2003.
The 2ng gen beds taper from front to back whereas the 1st gen is a rectangle.

Also, what is he height of the bottom to the underneath of the overhang? The bed sides are lower on the 1st gen, so the overhang will sit closer to the cab.
