So about a year and a half ago I had x-amount of $$ towards a lift, wheels and tires. I finally decided on the wheels and tires, which only left enough for a RC level/lift kit, I know, buy once cry once. So about a month ago I was ready to upgrade to a ''real'' lift. I went through a guy here on TW and got Bilsteins all around, OME coils and JBA UCAs and a AAL. Cool!. First thing out the gate, JBA was having problems with their powder coat machine and was going to be a little behind. OK, $hit happens. Everything else arrives and I tear the rear suspension apart. I could not, or 3 other techs, figure out where the AAL went. I sent the guy a text and several hours later, no response. So I called ARB with the model # and the AAL was for a Dakar leaf pack, not compatible with stock springs! So, I called the guy and he said it goes on the bottom of the OME leaf pack. I told him it was as long as the OME pack and he said he's sold hundreds of them and that's where it goes. Then I tell him that while I was waiting on his response I called ARB. He said he would double check and call me back. Calls back and said, you were right, that goes to a Dakar pack. wth! He's says don't worry I'll send you the right one. OOOOK. Now this being my first lift and all , I decided to double check the numbers on the rest of the parts. Yep, wrong coils!!! Called the dude back and told him that instead of sending a return label for the AAL, to just send return labels for everything and to refund my money, I was done dealing with him. So today I got the refund and tried to transfer it into my bank and it would not go through. 3 hours on the phone later with PayPal, I got the money. Wait, there's more. I got off work, ran home, went to Headstrong's site, put the Bilstein HS16BK-1 kit in my cart and sure enough, sold the f@&k out. Thanks for letting me vent.
