So I wanted to test and make sure the 4Lo, crawl control, and terrain modules worked prior to my 5k service. I drove the truck about 200 yard on a curvy dirt road with the diff lock engaged.

Then I read it should only be used when there is tire spin... think this could have caused premature damage?

I think you are screwed. Might as well trade it in at the 5k service before the dealer notices.

    You didn't hurt anything.

You want to use it when slippage is likely (before or after trying MTS or ATRAC is arguable)

Don't engage it while the wheels are actually slipping.

Once engaged, don't drive on hard surfaces where tires can't slip (like paved dry roads), and remember turning is more difficult

It’s fucked, but since I’m a nice guy I’ll give you $5k and take the problem off your hands.

It’s perfectly fine, you didn’t do any damage at all. As Long as you are on a loose surface you could have driven it for a thousand miles and not done any damage.

Do you need to know, or care?
    You're fine, don't worry.
