I sure wouldn’t mind a new one, maybe for my wife, to sit beside my ‘78

I would too. But they cost way more, and Toyota will never bring it to the US.

Not only would they price out of the market, American's want posh, not bush.

    Yeah, i love the 70's

But they are Dinosaurs. Even with leather and a head unit, they are as bare bones as it gets lol.

    200 series is Posh.

70 series is rather tight, rough, and just not refined.

American market would be like "my prius gets betted MPG" and "power stroke makes more power" and "my ridgeline rides better"

Look at how the critics treat the Tacoma, which is way more posh, refined and flabby than any 70 series. Lol

Yeah, saw an article about the trd getting a snorkel and it quoted some numbers, made me say 'waitaminute....' but I've been too lazy to correct, I figured someone would get the correct number and post it here. Thanks!

Wrangler still sells just as much though, so there's good scavenging potential there Toyota!

Interesting thoughts on the subject. If Toyota brought back the FJ40 clone with updated features, my order would be in tomorrow. Not sure how many have actually beat on a factory(ish) FJ40, but these are the real deal. I used one in Montana for hunting, and these were nothing but amazing.

@YOTA 4X4 just wow on the 77’. Much respect. :hattip:

Keep the updated features list as short as fuel injection, lockers and drivetrain tech.. some safety stuff (excluding the 11teen extra airbags, radar etc) a decent radio, heat and air. Fuck I am down, I'll buy two.

I'll beat the tar out of one and the wife can drive the other. Trade the Tacoma in, keep the Wagon.

Also, here we are thinking Toyota "Might" make a wrangler competitor lol, Jeep IS going to make a Tacoma competitor.

Take it for what it is, the Gladiator how ever you may feel about it, is another entry in the segment. Lol. And it is one that offers way more directly aimed at the offroad small truck crowd.

Granted, mofo 85 Toyota still crushing souls at the KOH 2019 4600 class.
