MAC is part of the Eagle Imports umbrella. I own a Bersa .380CC which is also Eagle Imports and love it.

This particular 6" 1911 was made to compete with the Colt Gold Cup 1911. https://www.gun-tests.com/issues/27...ersus-Colt-Gold-Cup-26482-1.html#.Wrkm49Pwa3A

New you can find them for around $900+. I got mine for $700 and the thing looks new. Guy said he put about 50 rounds through it and I believe it.

Reddit was great about 5 years ago as a way to have all sorts of stuff you want to see all in one place. Lots of subcultures and specific interest groups there. However, in their attempts to figure out how to make it profitable they're trimming the fat, so to speak. Some subreddits are awesome (/r/4x4 is just 4x4 stuff, for instance). Others, well. Let's just say politics aren't banned there.

Anyway, gun stuff. I bought ammo, an anemometer, lower parts kit, lee loader, sling, stock pad, and more ammo in the last two weeks, with the anemometer today. Budget is trashed, just waiting for the first now.

I stole a M1a today for half price of what they go for new, a little rough but easy fixable.

So it’s just a standard range M1a made by spring field armory. Chambered in 308 Winchester. The previous owner spray painted it tan which I removed today. But I got it for 750.

Looks like the botch fof the selector is there, so likely a USGI fiber stock, you can do a lot worse. Had added a sling diver to the foreend, likely to add a bipod. Check that mount, doing this mod tends to start a splitting.

Your hammer is cocked in the pic. Try not to store it with the hammer cocked, long term it fatigues the spring. You can peak into the chamber if you just bring back the oprod without locking the hammer back. Anything more, or disassembly, is going to need a dryfire... snap cap will ease the mind but not required.

Looks like a scope rail with some daylight on the left side of the ejection port. Is this just attached to the stripper slot on the rear, or did they mod the front receiver ring? If you are going to mount an optic and change out the rail, research the fitment requirements for the M1A. The receivers are known to be slightly out of spec and some brands require extra steps.

Good luck, welcome to the club, and try not to be too upset by the m14 tax on parts!
