Another Newbie

I’ve lurked and searched for a while before registering and here I am. Homer, my trusty side kick, and I are from sweet home Alabama.
Just became the new owner to a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. I’m no stranger to Toyota’s but new to the Tacoma. I previously owned a 2003 Tundra, a couple of Camrys, and then a 2008 Lexus GX470. I missed having a truck and hope to keep this one around as long if not longer than the Tundra that I had for almost 10 years.

I’ve not made any mods yet but would like to find a camper top to aid in keeping gear dry on our upcoming trip out west and eventually will upgrade tires as the need arises. It’s mainly a pavement pounder during the week and a backroad explorer on the weekends.

Congrats on your 2015!

 

Adding a camper top as I type. Traveled up to Huntsville, AL and found a used silver cap and they are installing as I type.
Another step closer to being ready for my trip west.

Any suggestions on an awning for the Tacoma?
