Gorilla tape is way cleaner than wire silly. Or do what people do around here and drill holes and thread it on with the bailing wire and put a sticker next to it saying drift scars.

@16tacoblue I did that myself with plastidip to see if I liked it or not. I plan to paint both bumper caps and that same spot on the tailgate professionally, with black base and a true flat clear.

If you have any input/picture on how you mounted yours in the mirror assembly you did, it would be much appreciated I pm’d you, when I first thought of doing this, but I know you’re a busy man so I didn’t want to bug you and just thought I’d figure it out myself

I used the bracket that came on the ignites. Your application is going to be a little different because I don't know if here is anything flat to mount the light to behind the bumper cap. But IMO I would not rely on mounting it to the bumper cap itself. Make a bar/bracket that mounts behind it for more stability.

Seems like a lot of you are putting them more towards the center on the larger black plastic rather than the corner pieces.
Seems like it might be hard to make them look right on the corner sections since they aren’t exactly level lines.
I take it there is no interrance with the licence plate lights?

Im curious about how the wiring works. I have done this in the past with some Tractor Supply lights simply splicing into the reverse wire like the OP did here but I am wondering since these are LED and all that, and since they try to sell you a wiring harness with a relay on the same page, if a relay is needed. I guess you could still use the reverse light as power to trigger the relay but is it necessary?

There will definitely be some type of bracket, attached to the bumper stay, I was dumb and modified the two stays that came with the bumper I bought, so now I have to remove the ones from my truck. In hind sight it would have been easier to modify the ones on the truck. Live and learn. Question: in order to mount these lights in your mirrors you had to lose the cover that comes on them stock correct? To achieve the flush mount look. If so how did you reseal them?

Just purchased these for my Tacoma. Nice find and great write up.

I’m gonna wire these up to a push switch though so I can turn them on and off as needed.

I purchased the following with these pods.

I’m honestly gonna try and do a video of the install if possible. At the very least take lots of photos. @chadabear did a good write up though. I think @ToyoTacoTurner and @Jumpman23 are gonna come over help me do a few of the mods.
