My 5100's were smooth as butter through whoops for about 15 minutes before they got hot and road like 2x4's

I was thinking it was a pretty good price at first, but then I saw the salvage title and it looks like there might be some underlying rust issues that were covered up with spray paint. Probably still not a terrible deal for the right person.

Definitely agree with that when looking at that picture with the rear axle in it. Looks like there was no prep going on under that paint.
Seeing his rear drawer system reminds me I need to make some. Though mine won’t be elevated like that. With 3” suspension lift, 2” body lift, and 38s, I’ve got to believe getting in those drawers is kind of hard

Speaking of rust issue. I came across this stuff and will be doing a before and after. But after looking into it the stuff seems pretty awesome for getting rid of rust and making stuff look like new.

Ripped the OE roof rails off and added a new rack today.

I haven’t decided. Not sure about trying to run the wiring for them down off the roof.

I do have a CVT tent going on it here soon and this rack fits that need nicely and it uses the factory mount points and doesn’t require any drilling or rivnut installations

If anyone sees a good deal on a Safari snorkel for a first gen Tacoma, send it to me.

Yes. Caught a time clock error at work, and received $600 in backpay. Always wanted a snorkel.

If they would fit with the CBI ditch light brackets I'd love to have one too. I much prefer the ARB one over the Hilux one most have.

That's true. Forgot about that. Definitely agree though, the ARB one looks way beefier than the $100 Amazon/China/

    Tbh, looks.

Supposedly it will help with dust, but I doubt that.

Bought a strip of aluminum and cut it to make the lower brackets. And tried to get the hood and door gaps as close to stock looking as possible. Now I get to remove them to put line-x on the underside and get them wrapped on the outside.

Cut mine pretty deep. No rubbing issue there
