    Interesting. With salt and rust up here the body is not my worry.

    Years ago talked to my father about getting my last truck before I retired. Said I wanted a diesel because it would last until I was farting dust. He laughed and said yes you can do a top end and bottom end and keep them going for 100's of thousands of miles. But the salt is going to kill it long before the engine dies. He was a smart man, lately realizing just how smart. Thought the Taco would be my last truck before retirement even though it is fossil fuel. She isn't going to make it, that I can guarantee you.

    No fancy ceramic coating on the shell. But starting Oct. 27th of last year had plenty of white protective coating.

    But I'm not afraid to drive it through anything that gets in the way either. In fact need to get to that next spot that just HAS to hold a good sized number of ruff.

    Did the numbers tonight with taxes and retirement figures. I will be needing another truck at some point, most likely to pull something to live in during the winters either in Az. or Fl. Decisions...

    I'm sure it'll get tested. The car dealers here don't push their coatings. Most people don't want them. When I picked up my (work) Ram from the dealer the young new salesman asked me if I wanted to bring it in to be coated. I laughed at him. He didn't get it. He hadn't yet experienced a summer or a windstorm here.
