Do the plugs in these trucks really need to be changed every 30k?

It seems more often than it should.

I don't know why it's so low, they are Copper plugs. I threw some iradium plugs in when I first changed them and haven't worried about them since.

Pretty sure you can't drive on the beach anywhere around myrtle beach. Havnt been there since 2008 though.

That's what I kind of figured. Lame. Anyone on here near this area? Looking to go explore a bit if not today in the next couple weeks.

Nothing really near the coast except private land and hunting property. I know there is Francis Marion National Forest
about a hour south of Conway & Dirty Myrtle. @Boogyman use to wheel a lot thru the woods of Francis Marion. :burnrubber:

Yes they are standard copper core plugs you can switch them out for platinum or iridium and have longer change intervals. You can also always pull one out and check the wear. The dealership is probably recc. them based on the service intervals published by toyota. It is also a good idea to change the plugs before they are slap wore out when plugs are slap wore out and the resistance is high because of that it puts extra stress on the coil packs.
