1-4 inches of wet snow for tomorrow morning. Yippie!

 

Good morning friends and happy Easter! Rib roast for dinner today instead of ham as Dad can't have salt.

So much for having a clean truck with the forecast of snow tomorrow.

This latest round of cold and snow I will take the blame for it. On Thursday I moved my snowblower to its summer storage spot.

We have skunks digging up our yard every May. Their looking for June Bug larvae.
Last year wasn't bad. Year before was.

 

If I was your next door neighbor I would most definitely have a weight issue, a nose issue, and a A1C issue.

 

Yea I think it is a skunk but waiting for the snow to go before I put some bad ju ju on the lawn for them.

I’ve been averaging 16.5-18mpg depends on how much highway drivin I do. I typically drive 72-74mph out on the highway, I’ve seen 20mpg drivin 65mph. The speedo is within about 1-2mph checked against radar speed reminders.

 

You really need.to be giving performance updates on the griddle...enquiring minds want to know.

 

It’s awesome. I heat it up and then lower it. Cooking everything on it later. Hash browns and bacon for the week,then the peppers,onions and meat.

I'm throwing a ham in the oven about 1100 hrs. The wife is working 0800 to 1600. Not going to do a big dinner blow out.

 

Have you done anything like deboned chicken, whole or parts?

 

Deboned chicken yes. Had it too hot. Hash browns do good when it’s hot,all else on low.

We're getting ready to replace the grill (bbq) we have for doing the volunteer kick off and close out meetings. I want to replace it with a grill and a griddle. I'll do about 150-200 burgers at the kick off meeting and about 75-90 lbs of pollo asada (Mexican marinaded deboned chicken) at the closeout meeting. Our current grill is somewhere around 300 sq. inch surface. The griddle I found is the Camp Chef 900 sq in. I still haven't settled on the grill yet, but I want it to be comparable in size. It takes be better than 3 hours to grill the chicken with that small of a surface. If I can knock it down to 2 or less it'll be a whole better.

 

Wow. That's pretty slick!

Considering what roof-top tents on their own can cost, that's a lot of bang for your buck.
