What's the generally accepted payment method for selling parts here?

I have some parts that I'm going to be putting up for sale soon, but I was just curious of what kind of payment method/system/service that everyone uses or what is generally accepted? Obviously both parties in a purchase want to be protected. Haha.

 

People often sell locally, so cash, or if they are shipping most just use PayPal.

 

Ah okay. And forgive me if this is an ignorant question... But this PayPal have some kind of individual sale mode or service?

I would suggest checking there website If you have never used it to setup an account and it explain everything.

But pretty much your account is link to your checking/savings account or a credit card, so you can send and receive payments by simply entering someone’s email address which is tied to there account. There is some fees involved but not a lot, but it adds a level of security of having a middle man to help with making sure the product arrives and so forth.

 

I use PayPal, and have the price reflect the extra 3% fee paid by the seller for goods and services protection. If I'm paying, I'll usually add the 3% myself to save anybody the hassle.

 

PayPal friends and family. No cost but no protection.

Regular PayPal, with fee, offers protectipn.

Depends on your risk tolerance / value of item
