I spotted the same truck at the local Sheetz when I stopped for gas and a bite to eat on my way out of Carlisle the next day, and had the opportunity to chat with the owner...

Despite the fact that this truck has a 1982-1985 dashboard/interior, it is a 1986 model (which was technically the first year for the redesigned interior). However, this truck was one of hundreds ordered as a part of a fleet for a company in Ohio back in 1985, and they were specifically ordered with the old interior. I ran the license plate number through CARFAX and confirmed that it is in fact a 1986. It is obviously a long bed 2WD model, and it still has the factory 2.5L "Iron Duke" 4-banger/5-speed manual transmission. This truck started life about as basic as possible; no A/C and no other options! I forget whether it had power steering and power brakes (FUN FACT: Power steering was an option on regular cab 2WD S-10s all the way up to the 1993 model year; Power front disc/rear drum, brakes with rear-wheel ABS were standard across the board by 1993). The 20-something guy who owned this truck has done quite a good job customizing it, as it is one of the most nicely done custom S-10s I've ever seen! In addition to the airbag suspension system, those nice wheels, and the slick orange paint, this truck also features a lovingly redone interior and a nice aftermarket sound system with CD player and Bluetooth...

I'm typically not a fan of these "Truxarossa" body kits, especially if the donor truck isn't given a high-quality red paintjob, but this marked the first time I'd ever seen one in person so of course I had to take pictures!
