I know lots of you are running the 10 ply “E” rated Ko2 tires. However, looking for info on the C rated ones. Would like the good, bad, and ugly on thEse verses the E rated. Truck is used primarily on highway. Thanks.

I have the C Rated on my truck in 265/70/17 though and I think they are nice and quiet, but I would say I had Cooper ST/MAXX on before and they kicked the Ko2's ass in traction in the snow.

FA2C5EA5-E077-4BBA-8911-332795DD227C.jpg I’m running the C rated 285/70/17s. Weigh like 51 lbs. Love them so far.

I just installed some P285/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks a few months ago and they have been amazing in the snow. Plus I got the entire set shipped for $600, they're half the price of the competitors.

Just throwing it out there if you're looking for some light 33's. I do mostly highway travel as well.

Roughly 500 right now. The only negative thing about them is they are not the easiest tire to balance. Ended up having to get them road force balanced but I’ve read this is an issue with KO2’s.

285/70/17 C range and I love them. They’re pretty quiet on highway driving.

Unless you plan on towing A LOT of weight, C rated are more than enough for primarily street driving. I have 265/70r17 ko2 c rated and have wheeled them pretty hard. My wheels are pretty thrashed around the edge but I haven't had a flat yet. Softer ride and less weight too.20180324_123015.jpg

wasn't aware of many in that size being C rated. Only one I ever found was a Nitto, can't rememebr if it was the ridge grappler or trail but whatever.

I'm not a fan of the KO2 at all. Really hate the tire if anything.
Wish more made a C rated as like many said E rated is overkill for our trucks but the added strength is nice off road. I didn't really have any issues with my C rated duratrac off road though.

Eitherway for now I'm on a 285/70/17 D rated Duratrac.
Feel like its a happy medium of weight and strength.

The BFG's are GARBAGE on pavement in the rain, I'll totally agree with that..... But I've been really have with them on the trail. The road noise with my C's is barely more than stock. I've been trying to get them in the snow all season but it's been pretty scarce in SoCal this season. I've got Falken Wildpeaks on my fj60 and they're MUCH better on wet asphalt, and still pretty good on the trail. IMG_0402-2.jpg IMG_0193-2.jpg

my very reason for hating them.

I had them on two different work trucks and went into the barrier with one. Wasn't even driving like a cunt. and the weather wasn't that bad. Just a little bit of standing water and they are terrible. And had them on my old jeep not that great of a tire either. And they sucked in the snow.

Honestly only place I think they're a good tire is in the tread life. They seem to last pretty long but otherwise a piece of shit over rated tire.

What are your wheels? Lift? I'd love to go bronze myself. Like your truck.

I've had at least 15 sets of BFG KOs, never any issues although I'm not a big off road guy. YMMV.

I just wish the BFG’s in 265 70r 16 wasn’t only available in an E rating. I don’t need or want the heavier rating but like the looks of the tire.
