I got a new toy in the mail, while I was at mod day shin dig at Cameron's house yesterday.

21 bucks on Amazon and 5 bucks on the Google App store. I think it was money well spent.

Now I can get an accurate read on Coolant temp, Trans temp, all all kinds of other shit I don't even have a clue what it means o_O

Question for @CalTacoma09 and @foxrcing07 (or anyone else wanting to chime in)

We were talking about airing down for off pavement yesterday. I'm looking for a cheap option for a compressor (something to use for now till I do a more permenant solution)

The Viair 85p portable compressor is pretty cheap. Do either of you know if it's worth getting? Or should I go a different route?

This would probably only be to get me something to use for the next few months and the end up only being a backup. I eventually want to do a mounted compressor and tank.

Ive run one of these for years (10 plus)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000L9AD2U/ref=psdcmw_155346011_t1_B000BM8RT8

I burned my first one up by trying to air up 8 37” tires in a row.. so bought a second that’s still kicking. I’d google around, a bunch of company’s sell basically the same pump from China but some are marked up more than others.
Edit: I also bought my last one from pep boys and I paid $45 for it about 6years ago.

Although recently I bought a viaire 300p on sale and it’s nice.

Just got my 300p and have yet to use it. How hot does it get airing up?

Gets pretty hot. Most them do if they don’t have 100% duty cycle.

I can air up four 35” tires in a row without much problem. I probably wouldn’t push it past that unless I gave it a nice 5-10minute rest to cool some.

Don't remember if I have the 85 or 88p but I used it all last year and a couple snow trips this year. Things still going. I've used it in the rain, super hot days, and as mentioned before, in the snow.

Just checked. I have the 88p. About $60 and worth every penny.

Just ordered an mv50 myself, chose it over the vlair 88p purely based on the inline fuse. I’m sure I didn’t do enough homework and was misinformed :anonymous:

There is a replaceable in line fuse for the 88p as well. Not knocking your purchase at all. Just providing info.

It’s a good little compressor and works fast. I don’t remember the numbers but the air volume per pump is really high compared to the viair.

Just don’t let it get too hot. It’ll burn up.

I have a little 20 amp (I'm pretty sure its 20 amp) fuse in the hot wire that connects to my battery. But no, it did not come with a bag. I use an old snap on bag. Also fits an extra tow strap.

Amazon told me it comes with a bag, wouldn’t surprise me if it was wrong tho. I literally had the vlair in my cart for weeks until about an hour before I checked out lol

This is what I got. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BM8RT8/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    We shall see!
