Went out with the wife this morning to have a drive, got her to snap some pics :cookiemonster:

Since winter is just leaving us here, I am able to actually hit some dirt on the back roads and get the air pressures correct for it on the new tires.

    24 PSI front
    20 PSI rear

Was today's test, pretty decent, I might try 18 rear next with 24 front.

    Thanks man

Did you run the coopers at 15 PSI on dirt roads? I was thinking its going to be different PSI for dirt roads compared to when we hit the trails. I dont want to go to low and loose a bead :curls:

I stuck at 20psi because of the weight of my truck. Was worried about blowing a bead. However I may go down to 18 now since I lost a bit of weight.

To continue with weight reduction and remove crap I dont need anymore, rear seat belts got removed. Had to take off the rear mud flaps as well, passenger side wanted to make contact with the tire on the highway with gusts of wind, because it had previously been melted by the exhaust tip.....:annoyed: We will see how it goes with no mud flaps at all. :anonymous:

Added D-rings to the inside of the cab as well, cuz having the option to mount shit is cool AF :cookiemonster:

Picked up some 'trasharoo' bags from the army surplus, for the cheap.

Got the CB installed last night, antenna seems to mount along the hood line pretty decent. Might have to get a 90 degree fitting for the bottom where the cable attaches, will see how it goes. Did not get to tune it at all or anything yet. Finished in the dark last night.

You’ll be able to get some more mod cash from all those OEM parts you’re taking off. Especially those seat belts! Looking good!

In my opinion, OEM parts are gold. You never know when someone is going to need/want something. For example a dog could have chewed another members rear seat belts when they were a puppy and they want to fix em. They’re like $150 range I think new.

Corrected the antenna angle with a simple 90 degree at the mount, turned out nice.

    *Edit*
    Corrected the white cable.

Got the full size spare mounted in the stock location finally. Been naked with out a spare for like 2 months. :annoyed:

Now that I have the jack to actually change any of my tires on the trail, this is all coming together.

Well I have to put an update here. :headbang:

Now that the rig has all the things, it got used, and wow

Amazing is all I can say. The knowledge I was able to tap into here on TW has transformed my truck into exactly what I wanted. :transformer:

Trying to get into some video editing to show off my rig, 1st try here.

Here is raw footage my wife got of me going down the fun washout, so I can go back up again :cookiemonster:

    Some Hydroline action

    Some shots of goodness :cookiemonster:

More fun exploring trails just 25 minutes from home.

When I was airing down to start the adventure a local I know stopped to chat for a minute. He said the trail I was planning to ride was pretty rough right now, and to call him when I got stuck.

Might have more video tomorrow we are planning another adventure on the VMUTS.

    Had a fun day today!

Some trail 'damage' to the rig today. Just a love tap from a stick, a reminder to ensure I know where BOTH front tires are. I did not even feel this happen.

Found it when I was aring up, never lost air or had a problem. Switched to the full size spare for the highway ride home cuz I was worried.

So glad I have all the things, full size spare, bottle-jack stand to put it the spare on with, it was a breeze.

This is how I fixed it. Pulled the valve core to fully deflate the tire, and let more air out as it was pressed on by the jack. Used the stock bottle jack upside down against the slider, it has a nice rounded top to not damage the tire at all. :cookiemonster:

Only got 'stuck' once and got to use the recovery boards. I was going to get a small yank from the other guy I was wheeling with but I figured lets try the recovery boards 1st, and they worked perfect.

One recovery board in front of each rear tire that had come up against a mud / clay bank and could not get traction. They fixed it instantly, truck walked up it like it wasnt even a thing once we put them down.

Here is one video from yesterdays adventure, this washout was one of the easier things on the trail.

Getting the tray test fit for the 1st time in the back tonight, this is going to be awesome! :cookiemonster:

Piano hinge along the back, so it can be raised to allow access to the goodness under it. Some feet need to be added on hinges behind each seat. Some inlays will be put in with a CNC machine to allow the bottle-jack-stand to sit flush with it. Oh its going to be nice

Saturday turned out to be absolutely beautiful, so I used it to work in the driveway and install the Mobtown Front Hitch Receiver.

The instructions from mobtown are a little 'light' so it took me a stupid long time to get it all done, but it is finished.

Classic toyota truck, love it! The front reciever adds great functionality, had one on my 4runner.

Yea I love the front receiver, I think it looks awesome.

It will allow me to have the winch in a cradle, to be used front or rear. No subjecting it to my stupid winters here either. That way I can buy a nice winch and not worry about letting it get fucked by salt.
