Well this sucks I'm still under warranty. Redlands Toyota is kind of always blaming my lift for everything.
Just serviced the diffs last week.,then went on a muddy trip .
Just noticed a drip today. Where the Cv and the diff meet. I'm reading about doing myself but dreading the axle seal
Upon reading, I'm contemplating doing the ECGS bushing? I don't want to keep having to replace axle seals...
Truck has 87,00 on it. I have about 2.75 front lift, and Dakars in back

Hmm.. You could pitch a gripe with your dealer or just do the ecgs and new seal. I wouldn't want the dealer to mangle a new ecgs bushing anyway.

The driver side axle on my truck does have the wiggle room that alot of guys talk about (caused by the shitty needle bearing). Do you have the rumble noise?

This might just be your reason to bite the bullet on the bushing. If you have the tool it it's pretty straightforward. If you have the tools and skill to do the bushing, then the seal is not a big deal

No rumble, just miles on the needle bearing Just reading how some people have leaks after just the new seal until ECGS

You could maybe prove that their crappy needle bearing took out the seal but they'll just replace it with the same crappy bearing.

After i lifted mine (basically the same height as yours) I got the growl big time. Especially on certain types of pavement when cold. I'm probably gonna buy the bushing first by itself and see if my puller tools will work. I'd rather not buy their tool for 60 bucks just to only use it once. My buddy has a few axle bearing attachments for his slide hammer. One of them is bound to fit just right.
