    Grew up in the calalen area. Buncha stuck up rich yuppies so I moved to the island when I graduated HS in 09. I like to surf a lot so that was mo betta. Went to Del Mar for a year and figured out college wasn't for me and got a job with the railroad and moved up to New Braunfels about 7 yrs ago and love it up here

    Dem wildcats used to make us look stupid in baseball/football lol definitely a lotta money out there though. I grew up in Rockport so I can relate some there. I was ready to gtfo as well

    Love NB though. Hoping to get on that work from home status at work and move down there by christmas time.

    It's a very good job.. just mismanaged badly. Schedule is always on call and higher ups care about numbers and nothing else. Pays the bills and gives me money for truck parts so I deal with it

    You can work a yard job which has a schedule and usually 2 days off a week. But being on the road (taking trains to Laredo, Houston, Del rio) pays hell of a lot more. Granted more BS and longer hours but it's worth it for pay difference
