What was wrong with the line I took going down???

As Randy said, we took some good pics up there when we first tried to go up it.

 

I only took us on one of those and we went down it because i was trying new routes.

They are always graveling shit

Had we not lost Randy right away, i would’ve explored pretty much all of the North Side of the park and brought us through quite a bit of new stuff.

Next time, i think i’ll actually plan a route with you guys before we meet up. Just to see how that works, unless everyone is fine with me having to stop often to check things and change things. Also yes, i’ll get a fucking CB. I realized on this trip how much one is needed eventhough i literally had no voice by the end of the day.

 

Hallelujah! You should take it one step further and get HAM. A license only costs $15 and takes a few days of studying. A handheld radio is $30 and will out perform CB, and you won't have to deal with wiring anything up

 

A HAM won't do him any good if everyone else has a CB. He could get a handheld CB like the

$90 Midland 75-822 40 Channel CB-Way Radio

Midland 75-822, then he doesn't have to wire anything. It will run off of battery or power adapter to plug into a 12 volt plug. The power adapter has an antenna connection too, so he could throw a magnetic mount antenna on the roof.

 

That's why I'm trying to convert east coast to HAM. I have one and @twheat40 has his license (just needs a radio). In regards to a handheld, they don't have good performance. @Montauk17 was using one last trip and we couldn't hear him more than a car length ahead. Even when he connected to his 5' external magnetic whip he was coming through a little choppy.

 

I have the handheld midland. The rubber antenna is shit. I couldn't transmit very far until I hooked up my external antenna.

 

I may have to go back to using my Trucker radio.

 

As ridiculous as that thing is, you come through loud and clear with it!

They do it every year so cars can drive the majority of the roads

 

For what most of us do a cb is sufficient a ham is better for way off The beaten path but usually we are within a few miles of help .South America yes Ham or Sat comm GreenRidge,Rausch or GWNF cb’s should suffice if tuned correctly

 

There was a lady trying to get stuck in her altima lol

 

I've never gotten more than maybe 1/2 mile with a CB, and that was on a wide open highway. I even tuned the SWR to less than 1.5. That was with both my previous truck and this truck. Just never been impressed with CB.
