Looking for multiple opinions man. It's doing research before just jumping into something. That would be stupid. There's nothing I specifically want anyways, which is why I'm looking into this thread. Want to see different options.
Personally not going to be a 'mall crawler', I would have a civic then. I want it to be functional, but still want my truck to look good.

Still not sure on the 18's but personally don't like the look of the 16's.

It's the end of January, still got time! Thanks for more info.

17s might be just right then lol SCS has a strong backing on here and I'm one of them.

Go with 17s. It's a happy medium and gives you plenty of options on tires.

I guess it also depends what type of wheeling you plan to do.

But the billies and 887 is a good starting point.

Main thing I will say is buy once cry once.

not many places stock the stuff. but i think @tacoma16 has the coils on his truck. his lift is OME though.

Could check 4wp in burlington but not sure if they'll have it in, maybe call before?
Not sure why you need to see them first though besides google pics?

When it comes time to buy check out CT Motorsports though.

I’m running the 886 coils on ome nitrocharger sport shocks. It’s the heavier coil for the bumper. The shocks are valved and can handle the spring unlike bullies with the 886 which have mixed reports.

Got it all from ski at ct motorsports who orders through toyotec.

This thread has me back to 2nd guessing... After reading this forum for many months, I thought I was sure on getting the 885's with 5100's and AAL. Figured that way I wouldn't need to get new UCAs. Right now my truck sits 1 3/4 inches higher in the rear. If I go with the 887's, 5100s and AAL, I would be sitting pretty dang close to level right?

So the advantage for 887s is getting the extra inch or so, but with that I'd need new UCAs. Am I understanding all this correctly? Forgive me if I'm way off, I'm a newbie

I know every truck is diff. But I am running 887 with stock UCA'S alignment is in.
If your not running any xtra weight up front I'd go with 887's.

Kind of distant, but I think you can get an idea of the stance. Look at my profile pic

I have this setup just about ready to install. From what I've read, you can get away with the stock UCAs if you don't do a lot of off roading. For me, I'm sticking with my stock UCAs for now, and might upgrade later down the road.

    This and that...
I've been considering this lift for when I'm ready. Curious though how many with this lift are adding the ECGS bushing? With all the lifts on this forum, be nice to know who's it taking care of this issue before it starts with a lift, especially a 3in lift. This precaution seems to be mostly recorded on those that particular threads.

I leveled my truck 1.75in up front before going with 887s and I had to get my needle bearing replaced immediately. There is a TSB for it so I didn't have to pay a dime and I always told myself if it happens again I'll go with the ECGS bushing. That was around 40k ago and I've since gone up to 887s with no issue.

Cool. With a TSB on the issue, how did this work with or without a warranty and a lift installed? Have extended warranty to 70,000 miles through Carmax.

So my truck only had about 10k when I did the billies at 1.75. I'm not sure if the dealership didn't notice, or if they just didn't care. They never said anything about the lift. This was all through the dealer I bought the truck from also.

I think a few folks have mentioned their dealer wanting to give them crap about lifts... But keep in mind dealers install spacer lifts all day long that don't void warranties.

I think I talked to you awhile back just before I did my lift as well, I went with 5100s all around, 887s up front and aal in the rear for a full 3”... had to do the needle bearing fix, I was able to get it fixed under warranty by the dealership as well, no issues. Fast fwd to the other day, I think I can hear and feel the faintest needle bearing vibration again around 30-35 mph... idk if it’s in my head or what. It’s driving me nuts trying to listen and feel for it. I’m tempted to take it back to the dealership but I know they’ll say they can’t reproduce it. It’s onlu been a few thousand miles since they fixed it. You’re at 40k more and haven’t had any issues?

Damn, I haven't had any issue since the initial TSB fix. You may want to check out the ECGS bushing to replace the needle bearing.
