How difficult is it to replace the clutch on a 2008 Tacoma pre-runner 2.7L? I've seen threads on replacing the 4.0 V6 clutch, but I haven't seen any threads specifically addressing replacing the clutch on the 4 cylinder. I am decent when it comes to wrenching on my own truck, I do all my own maintenance (oil changes, gear oil etc...) and have access to tools.

I won't be much different. I have replaced several clutches.

It's easy enough, but you have to be thinking a few steps ahead at all times to avoid injuring yourself if you are doing it in the driveway.

A second set of hands is strongly recommended

What I'd strongly recommend is a transmission holder for your floor jack.

And I like Center Force clutches, I've used 2 on 2 different vehicles.
