    Well to keep it simple, sua gives you more up-travel for going fast, doesn't handle bumps as well as 4-link. That said a lot of guys use it and it goes much more smoothly over big bumps (1-3' or so) than spring over. Budget wise you could do a sua conversion if you find used shocks and cut costs by setting up your own truck. 4 link unless you do all of the fabwork will stretch your budget too much imo.

    ah would a sua be able to handle the weight? 700-1,000 pounds (RTT, fuel, water, 2 spares, tools and ect.) most of my driving wouldn't see those kind of bumps

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    I'd like to see you spec out coilovers and do the link geometry for holding that weight, leafsprings aren't terribly tough to spec out in higher spring rates, but trying to get coilovers to handle that weight and ride nicely could be something of a real challenge, probably have to go dualrate and likely dual coil

    right smack that idea out of the list lol i'll just stick to stock style maybe longer springs and shock relocation. try to get a smoother ride in the rear so it matches the front as well as travel

    dual rate is dual coil.

    But yes. Likely 550/700 I think. Shouldn't be hard to make it ride good. Only shit part is it would only ride good fully loaded and thats it.

    Not ideal that is for sure.

    that was just going to the rear suspension alone. both front and rear will have arb lockers and been re geared

    That's what I'm saying - put the money you'd put into LT into building a rig that meets your actual needs and you'll have a sick setup. You can always add stuff on later.

    well when the v8 goes in im probably going have to go with 700 coils anyways. but i need to figure out the weight difference of the 3.4L to the 4.7L
