State Farm, they rock.

 

They should; they are expensive as hell...

 

Used to work for em. expensive as all get out right now but dont have any problem paying out.

 

Essentially they want to quote me more money for my truck, which has 120k more miles than my land cruiser. This truck is newer. But because the land cruiser is bigger, its cheaper?

Long story short I went liability on the truck. Its old, its not worth much, and its built in such a way that if I get in a serious wreck its getting totaled.

Apparently, trucks are the most expensive thing you can insure.

and apparently, classic to insurance companies is a 40+ year old vehicle, yet government, and every other organizer/membership considers classic 25+

 

I work at a collision center and they bicker with us all the time about paying out.

 

I've used Hagerty to insure my 40 for the 6-7 years I've owned it, and it only turned 40 last year.

What kind of truck is it? Older pickups are much heavier and do way more damage if you get in a wreck. I've seen liability on 1970s-1980s pickups be more expensive than 2010+ sedans/SUVs.

Its weird but thats definitely one of the rating factors that goes into it.
