    Reviving this thread with a question....... if I install a CarPlay HU in my 07, no matter which HU I get, the CarPlay feature will display Apple Maps app, correct? If it helps, I am looking at the Sony XAV-100. Also, does CarPlay only play music coming from iTunes or can it play from Spotify?

    Apple maps, and I’d you have the Spotify app on your phone then it will be available in CarPlay.

    CarPlay allows you to have apple maps yes.

    As for music you can use iTunes Spotify pandora slacker I heart etc.

    There are plenty of apps for music you can use. Go to carplays website and you can get a list.

    As for the Sony 100. Good radio but if you did want cd or dvd then the new 200. Might be worth it maybe not.
