    Hey Everyone,

2018 off road here. I was set on getting the TRD Pro 17" 4runner wheels that are a popular mod on here along with 265/70/17 KO2's (c-rated). I want to run the stock mud flaps and also want a guarantee of no rubbing, even at full suspension compression and full tilt (steep tight driveways, rock crawling and more serious off road).

With that said, are there any safer wheels to use with the 265/70/17 KO2 c-rated tires? I'm new with tires and wheels and believe its the offset that makes the TRD Pros rub when they do? So I guess I want to know what wheel options exist that are safer and don't have clearance issues... while still giving me an inch more of diameter over my stock OR's 16" wheels/tires.

Some styles I like that I've seen are SCS SR6 / ray10, Method NV's, TRD Pro... beadlock style is cool but wouldn't want overly "bro". Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
The offset of the aftermarket wheels are going to make rubbing more of a factor if you want to keep your mud flaps on, best bet is the TRD Pro wheels

If you want a guaranteed no rubbing stay stock.

Are you guys talking just with mud flaps, or in general? I honestly would be willing to take the flaps off... but if I still risked rubbing when fully angled or compressed that would be an issue.

I'm driving a 2018 Off Road Access Cab with TRD Pro wheels,BFG KO 2's-265/70/17's with no lift.Had a slight rub on front left mud flap when I first got them.Took me 5 mins to fix by heating up protruding nub on mud flap with a heat gun and flattening it out with a putty knife.Have had no rubbing issues since.Really like this set up.These wheels and tires look really good together. Will take pictures tomorrow and will post them then

    ^^^ THIS!

Toyota engineers know what they are doing. Once you go out of their parameters then it becomes a game of eliminating the rub. My favorite request from customers are, " I want to run 35s, but I don't to have to trim or cut anything".

Yeah the people who say no rub, I’m wondering if they actually off road and compress their suspension.
