I've been working with 4xOverland Australia for a couple years now. They make the Slinky long travel suspension systems for a bunch of different Toyotas but have been focused on Land Cruisers mainly. Anyway, they brought their products to the US a couple years ago and last year they started an annual trip when they come from Australia to the US to visit dealers and attend events. This trip is called the 4xOverland Southwest Adventure. We use the trip to bring dealers and customers of their products together and put them through testing on the trip and use the trip to gather marketing materials.

They've put me in charge of planning the routes for these trips, which are usually about 4-5 days around the end of April and finish in Moab for the start of the Cruise Moab event. For 2017 we started in St. George, Utah and went to the Grand Canyon and across southern Utah and finally ended up in Moab after about 500 miles of dirt. It was an awesome trip.

For 2018, I've been putting a different route together and have taken a couple shorter trips on my own over the last few months to prerun sections to be sure they will work well for the group. Since the trip is in a few weeks I'm not going to share the route yet, but this year stays in Utah for the entire route but covers about 600 miles of dirt through some really cool areas of the state, and will finish up again in Moab on May2.
This past weekend was my last prerun in preparation for the trip. It was a solo trip in my Cruiser but I did have my wife and two older boys with me. Here's a handful of photos from the trip. It got me really excited for the upcoming SWAdventure.

Please share your final trip report here. I'm planning to go to Utah this summer with my family and would like to see your route and campsites. ;)

I'll probably share a trip report but I probably won't share the exact route or campsite locations. Not trying to be a jerk about it, I just don't want some of the info on a public forum. I'd like to keep the places secluded and not well known. It's nice to be able to go places that aren't full of people, which is getting harder and harder to do.

I understand. That's the main reason why we do what we do, to get away from the craziness of living in the city.
