Here is the situation, I am getting a payout for a rear end collision and it should cover a new bumper.

Anyone have a rear mounted tire? Pros or cons to that setup? I would like to maintain my ability to tow.

    Option 1: C4 FAB

    http://www.c4fabrication.com/produc...erland-series-rear-bumper-system-bsm-support/

    Pros: Blind Spot Monitoring Available

    Cons: 6-8 week lead time

Unclear: Does it work with the factory tow reciever?

    Option 2: Fab 4s

    https://www.fabfours.com/product/premium-rear-bumper-14/

Pros: In stock, works with parking sensors, and works with factory reciever

Cons: No BSM, no backup light cut outs.

My vote would be to wait for the C4 Fab bumper, waiting would be well worth keeping the functionality of the blind spot monitor in my opinion.

C4 has a receiver built in that sits behind the license plate (plate flips up when needed) rather than using the stock receiver. Only thing I don't like about the C4 is the angled plate position (although I understand the reasoning to achieve as much clearance as possible)

Funny, I suggested this back in December. Glad to see C4 thought of it also!

FabFours is not a legitimate "off road use" bumper. It is a standard off the shelf mall rated bumper for those that want to look like the wheel their rig even though the 22 inch forces say otherwise.

Any other proper offroad bumpers that utilize the factory tow setup?

Nope. They all are designed for more clearance in the rear.

Do it. It’s worth it if you are going to be running larger than stock tires with a spare to match.

It is on! Now it just needs to be wired up! Thanks for the input all!! I'm very happy with it. The paint job turn into a pretty big task. I had it rhinolined, which looks great but with all the hinge points and various angles ended up being 12 hrs of labor with prep.
