Tarp Awning

    Was trying out the new grill today when I realized I need some sort of awning for the rain. I'm pretty minimalis, as you can see by my stock truck which will probably stay that way except for some DIY mods and sliders. I plan to do some overlanding. I want to stay cheap and use a tarp for an awning. I plan on attaching a side of the tarp to the buckles at the front of the tonneau cover and then using 2 tent poles to hold up the other side of the tarp so that the tarp extends over the tailgate. Any recommendations? Anyone do this before? What sould I use for tent poles?
