I have never owned an automatic. Just love the connection of driving a manual. Dying breed....

My parents forced me into video games. They saw how much destruction I could accomplish with my bare hands, and feared what I'd break/build if they made me play outside.

I've never seen 25 mpg on mine, not even riding in 6th on the highway for long trips. I have a tendency to be a little heavy footed though. I average 17.8 in town and +/- 19 on highway.

I probably get my best gas mileage on back roads.

Back roads. Get to 40-ish in 2nd and dump to 6th. 23 is easy. It is also no fun. Between some lonely wet roads and some backwoods gravel roads today I went sideways enough that the traction crap sounded like a constant buzz. Knocked my tank average down by two MPG on the last quarter! haha! :) Will still hit 18+ on this tank, but is no longer over 20 indicated. Highway is 18 at best, only if it is 65-70. Doing 75 with traffic I see about 17.

I have no idea what I get. Maybe now that the weathers warmer, I'll run the tank dry and keep track for a bit.

Do you have mods and what speed do you usually drive on the freeway. Do you have flat roads or lots of hills. Do you use your brakes to slow down?

There is "B.S" in the thread title and I'm invoking it.

What happened to the sticky thread status? Prejudice against Manual tranny users?
