Newb Tacoma owner here...been enamored with them for years and finally picked up an '18 SR5 DC 4x4. Colorado does indeed seem to be the capitol of Tacoma's...it's amazing how many are on the roads here.

Anyway, I have about 600 miles on it and the FM radio reception is HORRIBLE. I have a base Entune Audio Plus system for what it's worth. I routinely listen to 3 stations and my last 4 cars could CLEARLY pick each of them up for my entire commute...30 miles each way in Northern Colorado. The Tacoma gets bad static literally on each station for about 1/3 of the drive. I have seen issues on other threads here, are there any updates/fixes etc?? I have yet to talk to the dealer but I ABSOLUTELY will soon.

2nd Issue: I drop bluetooth calls constantly on the same aforementioned commute. My previous truck('16 Ford F-150) NEVER dropped a call on the same route. Just to clarify these are dropped calls, not dropped bluetooth connection. In addition, the audio is super weak/quiet while on a call; I have to crank it all the way up to hear the person speaking...that is until it inevitably drops. Anybody have this issue? Any fixes or word from Toyota?

These 2 options are damn near deal breakers for me, I spend alot of time in my truck for work and play and need quality radio and need to take calls; again for both work and personal use while on the road.

    Thanks for any info/feedback!

regarding #2, a dropped call (not dropped Bluetooth) seems to be your phone's fault. perhaps your phone and cell provider have too many dead spots on your commute.

    good luck

Thanks for your input but as I explained in the post I never dropped calls on the same commute in my previous truck nor do I drop calls in my wifes '17 Acadia. So I would say the common denominator is the vehicle and not the cell towers or a cell phone.

For what its worth my 2016 seems to get above average FM reception ... I live near mountains/canyons, but also travel to pretty remote areas, and think the Taco is as good/better than other vehicles/antennas/radios we've had. On the other hand, the Bluetooth connection seems flaky; not so much dropping the connection as failing to connect when switching from my phone to my wife's and general pairing snafu's.
