i live in SW florida, mostly a concrete playground except a few off road parks.

i had to evacuate due to the hurricane and having a soccer team of kids i decided to go on vacation to murphy NC to a nice cabin in the mountains to stay safe.

beautiful place and it so nice to feel like ur in a place where u actually need a 4x4 truck to get some me places.

    anyone know this area?

seems most driveways are actual pretty fun haha, not looking for anything crazy since i had to leave all my recovery gear and 285 m/t tires since i needed space and the wife hates trail grapplers on the highway

but i've still got 32" duratracs.

not to crazy cuz i gotta be able to drive the long trip home just something fun but that at least needs 4hi or 4lo. (something a car or 2wd truck couldn't handle)

Holler in the NC thread. Uhwarrie is prob to far for a drive. There's Richland rd, but I'm not sure how far or where it is from Murphy.
There's a permanent thread on Richland rd somewhere.

Yea. To bad youre so far away from uhwarrie. Thats like 3 hrs one way for you.
I'm in the most northwestern part of SC pretty much. I think it was about a 3 hr drive to Richland rd. It's a fun little trail once you get passed the ledge. However we are getting rain and wind tomorrow so maybe it wouldn't be that great wheeling alone at Richland. Especially since you aren't familiar with it.

yeah maybe next time, i'm looking for a 15-20 min drive.
i've found a few small trails but i just wasn't ready for this trip and yeah i usually don't wheel alone in unfamiliar places

The last time i went on it I was in a Tahoe that I bought online from up there... The time before was in my s2k. Still fun no matter what your driving!

Glad the hurricane died out a ton before it hit since the eye went over SW FL, I moved from there a while ago but still have friends and family there.

s2k's are amazing track cars, that was probably a blast!
i built my Z for track and hardly get to drive it having 4 young kids.

and yeah it wasn't as bad as we thought, at least in my area (cape coral).
