    Hey everybody,

After waiting 5 years, I finally pulled the trigger on my Taco. 2018 Silver Sky Metallic DCLB TRD Offroad. Dealer pickup pics attached, best I got right now.

Worst of all, I got the car on Friday, got to drive it twice, and had to head away for the weekend. Luckily I have a lot of driving to do this week, and I can get settled in.

The jump in technology is already a big one. My first US vehicle was a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Pic is attached. On the FJ (Yoda) I have Apex front and rear bumpers, winch, additional headlights and aftermarket tow. I took Yoda offroading with just 1000 miles on the clock. Got a little hairy following some tiny Jeeps. But it's always been my drive to work car. So now Taco will become work (and overlanding) car. I have been browsing all the threads here and elsewhere. Really excited for the overlanding / camping options the Taco provides. I got the 6" bed to double as a quick sleeper. I've managed to even do that in the FJ (at 6'3" it's a challenge).

I've been based in Indiana, and making the move to Nebraska now.
Looking forward to making the most out of my Tacoma!
