I used to have these and they are def solid for the money. Just make sure you guys done use these to lift your truck. They only bolt to the body not the frame so it is not recommended to use them with a hi-lift jack. Just don't want anyone to jack up their new truck.

I keep "thinking" about buying the TRD Pro Shifter knob. $100 +/- seems a bit steep to me but I will ask, does it feel worth it?
I mean we slap a lot of crap onto our trucks, that let's be honest, doesn't need to be there. And I don't mind spending $30 or $40, oh shit, never mind, I just remembered one my latest mods to be installed. About the same price of the shifter knob and about as necessary too.

Anyway, how does that new shifter knob feel in your hand?
    Beefy and commanding?

Damn it! Now I'm looking at one of those!
I was over my brother's yesterday, first time he's seen the truck, and he asked me why I didn't have a roof rack on it. o_O

It’s bigger & beefier for sure. I got tired of looking at it in my “watchlist” so I bit the bullet & bought it. No regrets. The only difference is that it’s a little more “slick”, when I’m throwing it around through the gears my hand has slipped off a couple of times. I’ve gotten used to it though.

I bought my truck stock at the end of October last year...every single thing done has been since then to now has been done in the cold of Massachusetts winter...including the zroadz roof bar and 32 inch led bar hidden in the front end. Mind you I do not have a garage on my house. But I hear ya bud...winters holding on this year...can’t wait for the niceness everyday.

On many surf trips down south to mainland Mex back in the 70’-80’s the Policia had these VW Things as their patrol car. On one trip back coming up from Mexico City and just getting into some mountains before San Luis Obipso, there was a Policia check point, a line of semi’s and cars on a two lane road.....the Policia were taking ‘donations’, aka shaking down people for a few pesos.....I and my buddy had just gone though one of those ‘checkpoints earlier that day, gave up some wine coolers since we claimed we were school teachers and no money.....that’s with surfboards on top....
So this check point I said bull-caca.....pulled out around the line and just blew by the Policia.....all they had was a VW Thing and I knew there would be no way they could catch us.....in the mountains they had no radio.....and they wouldn’t chase us anyway....plus we were 19 years old and bullet proof.....my VW Thing experience. Cool vehicles though!
