Retired Marine and long time Tacoma owner. I owned a 2005 Tacoma TRD for 10 years, traded it for a 2014 Tundra and traded that for a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport at almost exactly one year. Ya just can't beat the Tacoma TRD!

My first act after this is sending a PM to CBoy808 about one of his awesome decals.IMG_2856.jpg

Where do I start? And all examples compare to my previous 2005 Tacoma. Edited to add and my 2015 Tacoma as well.

Less internal storage compartments (ALL gone).
    - Loss of behind the backseat storage
    - Loss of under the back seat storage
    - Loss of front left cubby
    - Loss of behind the passenger seat pocket
    - Loss of bed storage compartments

    Worse gas mileage
    - Loss of 3 MPG when not towing
    - Loss of another 3-4 MPG when towing

Loss of truck bed electrical hook-up

Windshield did not repel water as efficiently as the Tacoma or other cars/trucks I have owned
    - Never did figure this out, it just was inefficient at dealing with rain with or without windshield repellent

Honestly, I knew in less than a week that I wished I had not made the trade.

In the end, I traded for the 2015 (that was at another dealer) sight unseen.

In the end, I traded for the 2015 (that was at another dealer) sight unseen. I do miss the outside temp gauge, but otherwise this one is identical to my 2005. As to the latest generation? The front looked too much like a Dodge Dakota to me.

Doesn't your 2015 have the temp gage in the mirror?
There should be a setting to activate it.

Not on mine. And when I asked the service guy at our local dealer about it he said this was an option that had to be installed at the factory.

I didn't know I had outside temp gage until I was playing with the menu on the mirror.

There's no wiring going to my rear view mirror. Just a basic flip mirror.
