FJ shroud fits. FJ coolant tank fits, too.

I also put the 160* T-stat in, but I’m not done yet. I just got it all in to check fitment. About to pull the shroud back out to put the @Roostfactor spec weatherstripping on.

You have to slightly bend this trans cooler pipe so it will clear the shroud.



Here’s a tip for you guys that haven’t installed your rad yet. Save the blue plastic cardboard deal. Once you get the radiator bolted in but before you slide the fan and shroud in... Slide the blue thing over the rad. So you can fiddle with the shroud and fan without messing up any of the rad fins.



Slip the blue thing behind your tool box in the garage in case you ever need to pull the rad again.

Nice. Is there a specific year FJ shroud or are they all the same?

 

So by the FJ shroud working on our new set ups, does it mean that it DOES NOT HAVE TO BE CUT OR ALTERED??

These are the parts I ordered. They are aftermarket and they fit just fine. If you want to buy OEM just look for 2007-2009 FJ Cruiser or 2003-2009 4Runner.

No mods to the shroud, no mods to the reservoir, no mods to the radiator.

Only thing that has to be done is bend the trans cooler lines down a little which takes only your hands and 30 seconds to do.

Holy crap that oem part is 3x the price. You guys realize it’s just a piece of plastic right? I will be going with the aftermarket shroud only because I need to move the overflow tank to make room for an air compressor and snorkel. Thanks @loginfailed for making sure this works for us

Still not very expensive.

 

And thanks to this thread I now know that CSF makes a nice replacement radiator for my 80.
