Got to watch WSBK Philip Island races last night.
It was nice to see Melandri take both races. I enjoy seeing different brands fighting it out. I'm sure once Rea get the new bike setup the way he wants he'll be out front a lot more. I think Van Der Mark will be able to have a few runs at the front as well. It was nice seeing Camier jump four spots to the front and then unfortunately lose those same four spots in a matter of two turns.
I did not realize that Jake Gagne made the jump to WSBK. I'm excited to watch him progress. Hopefully he will be able to be competitive on the Honda.
I have not had a chance to watch round 2 yet, perhaps this weekend I can feed the two wheel addiction since it is still crap weather and I can't ride yet.

Gagne filled in a few times after Nicky was killed and as signed for this season. Not sure if it is one or two year deal.

Used to race at ASMA and was one of the instructors for the new racers school for 2-3 years out there. Haven’t been out in a few years though.
I see Greg T and Mikey S there in the starting line pic!

I subscribe to the MotoGP.com video pass as well as the Worldsbk.com video pass. It is pricey but you get past seasons as well to stream. I get all of the classes of both series and can watch live or on demand. The on demand feature is great when I work weekends or nights.

@Exracer2 I think that's what I may end up doing as well. I miss the days of the races all being shown on TV. Do you follow Moto America at all now that AMA really doesn't race road anymore?

Same here, but I split with a couple buddies, share the passwords. Wsbk site is garbage compared to gp. 720? What is this 2012?

I don’t follow MotoAmerica at all. I read a bit but that’s all. DMG destroyed professional motorcycle racing in the US so badly I still see it a few years before it is recovered. There was a time when AMA riders had value in comparison to other countries. Who can you argue is world championship material now? Jake Gagne isn’t setting the world on fire in WSB but then again the guys at the front are in another league. Joe Roberts on moto2 has some potential but once again is it him or the bike holding him back?

When Ben Spies showed up and was the guy to beat in WSB on tracks he never saw before that said volumes about the talent in the AMA. Same can be said of Colin Edwards, Scott Russell, Fred Merckel. Go back further and you have the likes of Rainey, Schwantz, Roberts and Mamola. I am leaving out too many names.

So I don’t watch MotoAmerica. It isn’t that the racing is nessecarily bad. But when I am paying for world class racing why sign a cable contract just to see another series that is in its infancy. When the time comes that it re-establishes it’s place as a feeder series for the world stage I will pay to watch. But now I have WSS, Moto2 and Moto3. Those keep me entertained and keep me up to date with the up and coming talent.

Yea, Lorenzo played bowling but I will say, there was a lot of other factors that caused him to do that.

Everyone but Marquez was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Only real shocker I see in the overall points is Rins holding 3rd on that Suzuki.

Jorge kinda got stuck in that position from what I saw and when the front tucked the bike went into it's spin and collected the pack. Marquez got a gap and ran away (as usual).
