Did you see the post about the Taco that had to be left there a few days? Definitely remote, and very cool (was just near it at the Eureka dune but passed until my skids come), but save being stuck there in summer, there could be worse places to break down in the US, take the Continental Divide trail (on my bucket list too):

There are some guys came saying hey man we winch people out let’s do this we tied the driveshaft so doesn’t get stuck in the dirt and I was like let me tie the axle to the leaf Springs and the dumbass was like, no no you don’t need to you don’t have to it’s all fine and you saw the video you saw what happened and then those fuckers bounced. A lot of it’s my fault for listening to dumbasses but it is what it is

 

WTF what is worse BHLM burning down the house or a axle swap on trail

 

I assume next time you bring friends, and tools? Im sorry you had this happen to you. No matter who is at fault, total bummer.

It will be up and working soon. I only need the driveshaft, shocks, leaf springs and brake cables. That’s the amount of damage on the car.

You shove the bullshit up your ass. I don’t have to lie. I didn’t have to say anything. The only reason I said something is for people to know what happened. I am. It even claims it on my insurance. Going to pay about 2G’s to fix it.

 

That just sounds like bad advice.... the only thing holding the axle to to the truck is the u bolts. The rest is what got ripped away easily.
