Who knows what happened? It just seems like a really bad idea to pull something downhill and directly at you. That could have ended way worse than it did.

So I went down to San Diego for my buddies retirement party from the Marine Corps and apparently when you run a team of SPECOPS guys they let you play with some pretty cool toys. :D

X2 on the kneeling pad. The pad fits inside the crate of crap I keep strapped near the tailgate. I put the OEM cover on top of the relentless plate so I'd be able to slide stuff and not have screw heads interfere. The ribbed cover is a kneecap killer. Wouldn't work for pooches though.

Humanity in general and virtually every one of us on occasion has a track record of items that qualify as "not conducive to longevity". Blind stinking doo dah luck and the lack of any interested third parties (aka "large meteors, aliens or competitive natives like roaches or ants") are the only reasons we still claim rulers of the world status. We'll keep trying until we pull it off though, pulling on a rope is something we can handle even if we can't agree on which end to grab.

    Some really cool shit

SPECOPS is the only way to go if you have to go. Got to work with some MSOT guys. Bad ass dudes. This video is the shit I got to do. It's a simulated Hot Extract of a SEAL team being overrun. The long brrrrrrppppppppp is of the mini guns on the SOC-R before it comes into view, laying down cover fire.

    Fun stuff

So, first the rear wheels were rolling and the front wheels were not, then the rear axle started to jamb up forward and the rear wheel locked while the front wheels began to roll. Total noob but guessing this didn't have much to do with brakes but more to do with a bound up transfer case. maybe he couldn't get out of 4-low into neutral.

Oh man, that’s not too big a deal however. The rear wheels are now simply missing. There’s a TSB to address this i believe. He just has to fwd it to the closest toyota.

Rookie question but does the TRD OR come with traction control? I have 4x4 w/locker so I didn’t think it did. In the rain I could feel what I thought was traction control on a left turn. I don’t have a button or anything. Just curious

It was an option up until '09. a very rare one at that if I'm not mistaken. My '08 doesn't have it. Unless you get an VSC or ABS light on when you feel something chances are you have just the standard OR rear end with the elocker. I believe it was an option with the limited slip differentials, but I can't remember there's a few threads about it.

Do, but chances are you don't have it, especially not having a button. they didn't add it until '09. correct me if I'm wrong @jberry813
