Sooo longer coil springs? That'd be the proper way to do this.. and for about 150 bucks

When it comes down to it, adding all of that stuff adds more points of failure. It's not just going to fall apart on you but it is weaker than it would be without.

Posted it a few pages back and man, what a mess. It literally takes more effort to completely fuck something up like that than it does to just do it right in the first place

Whatever the case, his fault or not, still feel bad for the dude.

Sure I was "Oh FUCK laughing" while watching the video but I sure as hell wouldn't want anything close to that happening to me.

Guess that would be a good time to go to the 63" Chevy Leaf Spring mod.

I purchased this ram ball mount that the magnet sticks to
    https://www.amazon.com/Contains-Universal-Pattern-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B004O8LF26

Here is the XL magnet mount, it’s much larger than a standard phone magnet mount
    https://www.amazon.com/SCOSCHE-MAGTFM2-MagicMount-Universal-Magnetic/dp/B00ZQO3UFW

This mount was solid for 14 hours of highway and 170 miles of dirt. And it held hanging from the top of my RTT for 4 nights so far :)

No arguments here. I'll always vote for the right way to do it, but everyone is different.

At the end of the video you can hear someone say ”Called it”, in a very calm voice.

If king, icon, ads, fox , etc. had intended the top hat to be an inch taller, they would have made it that way. Further , adding a lick n stick bolt on spacer the top of the could over changes the leverage ratio entirely putting unintended force on the coil over as it's no longer functioning as designed... it's not a question of if it will fail, but when. Nevertheless, people will still use them and find out the hard way

Damn Dude, that looks like a lot more than the 2" of lift stated on the website! So all HD, shocks, coils and Dakars? What about the UCAs? Did you go with them too?

    Thanks

Yes, 886 coils, OME shocks (spacer on driver side) Dakar HD leafs with helpers. Install was super simple.

No UCA’s yet. Though i haven’t gotten an alignment I’m completely satisfied with yet either. (The one i got was free) but i need to take it to a shop that can give me some better answers. If it needs control arms i will swap them out of it doesn’t. No UCA’s for me. Planning on an alignment this week and will go from there. The truck tracks fine and the guy that did mine is a friend, but didn’t have the latest updates on his machine so couldn’t give me a great answer. Planning on going to a Firestone dealer and hoping for the “lifetime” deal for $100. Time will tell. I’d say it’s more like a 3”, but about an inch plus for the tires. Sits about 4” higher now than before. Subject to settle and compress as i add my Decked system and Go Fast Camper when it comes in late May
