What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I got a delivery today....
I can't wait to install them, but I can't get to it until early next week.

 

That is blocking the sidewalk.
The space between the curb and the concrete path is not considered to be part of the side walk.

 

Put Redline in all of the boxes. I can’t believe how much of a difference it made in the transmission and transfer case shifting. The original fluids were pretty nasty @ 50k miles.

Hate to say it bro, but you're definitely blocking the sidewalk. The guy writing the ticket may have handled it like a dick, but you're in the wrong.

 

I figured. I just hate that its written as if I was parking there overnight or something.

 

Redid the plastidip on the grille and front emblem and added the led interior/exterior light kit

Sounds like a HOA rule

 

It could be argued that is part of the public right of way and is paved so the handicapped would still have a way around!

 

Rural areas and private roads FTW!

 

I suppose he is TECHNICALLY correct since the course of the actual sidewalk is under your wheels.

That said, the "spirit of the law" mixed with its temporary nature, and the putting the citation on the windshield instead of just handing it to you puts him firmly in the "pinhead jackass" territory.

 

If you have the resources you could fight it. You would probably lose, but the resulting bad PR would probably get him a reprimand from his Captain!

The space between the street and the sidewalk is the median strip/road verge. Usually this is a strip of vegetation, grass, etc. In this case it happens to be brick but its still not the sidewalk.

This is San Diego, CA. This complaint wouldn't even be a blip on the brasses radar compared to other complaints that come in.

 

Definitely blocking the sidewalk. What I don't understand is why an officer in that situation doesn't just knock on your door and say something like you have 5 minutes to move it or I write a ticket. I do think it was a dick move to just do it and run away.

 

Because every HOA enforcer I have met is cut from the same "little dog syndrome" cloth...

 

Except the ticket is clearly from the City of San Diego not an HOA.

Don't get me wrong I hate HOAs. But they have nothing to do with this situation.
