Can the higher watt/wide angle fog lights be swapped into a SR5, and use the higher watt bulbs, without harness/electrical system changes?

    Thanks

Pretty sure the difference is reflectors and bulb only. So it should be a direct swap.

If a Sport or Off Road fog light will fit an SR5, The OP might look into the Pro Rigid fog lights. Here is a guy that put the Pro fog lights in his Off Road. He posted a few pictures of what they look like at night.

Also, if your goal is to go brighter be aware if your mod is street legal or not and if you care.

If the OP is like me ... he's not wanting to spend $400 on the Pro Rigid fog lights but rather update the cheesy 19w fog lights that come on the SR5 like mine did to the 55w ones

The Rigid PRO fogs are meh.

Inflated price and under performing than similar non-OEM parts.

Any OEM housing is street legal.

Agreed, sounds like the OP wants to go brighter but was thinking about staying OEM. Might be wise to look into after market options that still fit the harness.

    Exactly

The fog light assembly will fit.

SR5 fogs use a H16 bulb, the TRD Sport/OR use a H11 bulb. Does anyone know if the SR5 fog light harness connector accomodates an H11 bulb for the TRD Sport/OR wide-angle fogs? I believe the connector is the same for a H16 and H11, just want to confirm.

Any SR5 owners already done this?

2018 bump. Is the connector and harness the same?
