    port chip for performance
Should I purchase the quick install intake for 160 dollars? I can remove it when its time to smog and put it back on here in California. My truck it gutless! the ect mode helps but I need a bit more without trading it in and getting the v6. Only mod is the performance chip which appears to be useless and a bed cover as well. Truck gets 21mpg regardless..

The best performance results for the 2.7 is to install a LC header. If you do decide to put the header on put a heat shield on the front O2 sensor connector. Extreme heat from the header will melt the connector.

The next best performance gain is to trade the truck in and get the 3.5.
