hahaha i wish!!! i'm most likely going to have to re-take the exam to pass in the Fall. i've only studied 2 weeks for it and people usually study 8 months! i still have to put in that effort though

Yes but unfortuanately I'm tied up all weekend. I took a run up towards Hunter Lake yesterday, still too much snow.

I could plan on next saturday...

I was thinking about heading up there too! Guess not now. I was going to see how much snow was up there still.

It would definitely be fun, I doubt you'd make it all the way but the snow wasn't bad at the point I turned around and you could still get at least half way with alot of slippy/slidey. I just didn't push on because I was solo and pressed for time, no time to get stuck.

I stayed right on top of the snow in the shady spots and in the sunny areas it was only a few inches deep but muddy underneath so it was slick.

Whats it take to go fishing at pyramid? Does it require a special license since its owned by the tribe or what? I need to renew my fishing license now and dont have much gear. Got a pole and a few things.

just get a day pass at the ranger station or the gas station that is right before the lake. a nevada license does not apply on the Indian reservation.

So who's coming? the plan is to meet at my place at noon then head towards pyramid. offroad for several house, then start fishing around 4 or 5.

PM me and I'll send you my address. my 5100's are supposed to come in today as well! i'm so stoked. i called around to see how much it would cost to install them but i think i'll be doing it myself. i'll need to rent a spring compressor. i've done it on my old car before but these springs are obviously way stiffer. if it looks too difficult, Midas quoted me $40 to swap the springs out from the old to the new struts.

Oh yeah they are pretty easy. I did them myself with just the pos rental tool from kragen. If you need help I got tonight off and more than willing to lend a hand.

As far as fishing and offroading I wont be able to make it this weekend. I got to drive to Tonopah to get my dirtbike worked on. I might stop in VC first to check out the VC grand prix.

Roger, I can help you too next weekend as far as getting them on/off, I got everything you need at the house, minus a spring compressor but I got a buddy down the road that would do it for whatever Midas was charging.

Robert, did you hit up the VCGP? I might try to ride that next year if I have my shit together.

I got them installed with Roberts help that night. the spring compressor was a pain, but with 2 people, we were able to muscle it on and off. Since I have 2 extra shocks now, I can return the one that you had borrowed me. Let me know when's a good time to drop that off.

truck rides soo much smoother with these new shocks too. i'm very very impressed. there were a couple hills that i had difficulty climbing at pyramid the last time i was out there, but this time they seemed almost too easy

That's good news Roger, glad you like the 5100s. Go ahead and just leave my shock by the front door at your convenience. Knock if you see my truck out front, I want to check out those billies.

You hooking it up to your factory headunit or did you also get a aftermarket headunit. Just want to make sure you got all the stuff youll need. When you want to get it done? And what amp and sub you get? Just curious?

I picked up a alpine deck (already installed), sub with box and JL amp from the classifieds of this forum. I have all the right wires. I am trying to make this install super clean.
